About the event

Indulge your senses with an evening of elegance and sophistication at our stunning new venue!

We are thrilled to announce that in 2017 this much-loved annual celebration of food, wine and opera will be staged for the very first time at the luxurious Chateau Elan.

Located on a secluded 100-acre property in the heart of the Hunter Valley wine region, this award-winning venue provides the perfect escape with charming views and first-class facilities. Guests can enjoy excellent dinner packages, accommodation, a championship golf course designed by Greg Norman, spa and beauty salon, plus a very well-stocked whisky bar.

The event has been transformed into an intimate, VIP seated only concert, preceded by an array of tempting pre-concert activities. Tantalise your tastebuds with wine and cheese tastings from local producers, sample exquisite Hunter Valley chocolates and explore a delectable range of other culinary delights. To make the most of this special evening, we encourage you to arrive early, grab a glass of bubbles and stroll around the lawns enjoying the spectacular views across the valley.

To celebrate our new home, we are proud to present two of our best and most-loved opera stars, international soprano Cheryl Barker and popular baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes, who will excite and delight you with their breathtaking voices and charismatic stage presence. Joining them will be gifted international flautist Jane Rutter, whose lyrical performances on the classical French flute will enchant and inspire you. We also welcome back Maestro Guy Noble from ABC Classic FM, who will conduct the proceedings and accompany the artists on piano, supported by the rich tones of a string section.
