About the event

There is no other orchestra like the Australian World Orchestra (AWO), they’re a unique and unforgettable experience. Once a year the AWO comes to town, assembling Australia’s finest musicians from home and overseas to present exhilarating classical music performances. In their short history they have attracted some of the greatest conductors of our time including Sir Simon Rattle, maestros Zubin Mehta & Riccardo Muti.

Fresh from their second Indian concert tour and their 2018 concert season under the incomparable Maestro Riccardo Muti the Australian World Orchestra returns to Arts Centre Melbourne under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductor Australia’s own Alexander Briger for one breathtaking performance at Hamer Hall. Be part of the magic and don’t miss the gala classical music event of the year.

If you see just one classical music event this year then make it the Australian World Orchestra.
