About the event

Vazesh is a magnetic improvising trio comprised of renowned Iranian tar player Hamed Sadeghi, saxophonist-bass clarinettist Jeremy Rose, and bassist Lloyd Swanton. Vazesh means to blow softly. Hamed Sadeghi’s of Eishan Ensemble, alongside award-winning saxophonist-bass clarinettist Jeremy Rose (The Vampires, The Earshift Orchestra) and bassist Lloyd Swanton (The Necks, The Catholics), performs enlightening music improvisations inspired by the Persian Radif. This is an exciting collaboration driven by an exploration of musical discovery. With inspiration from Anouar Brahem, Dhafer Youssef, Spiritual Jazz, and The Necks, the trio's music draws from many influences and yet sounds uniquely their own.

"One of the most captivating phases came in a three-way conversation that was so gentle it was like three wind-chimes bouncing off each other"
